SFYR is seeking volunteers to administer and coach teams. Plans are to reorganize in spring 2022 assuming the pandemic and CoVid restrictions are manageable.
2020 Spring Youth Rugby
SPORTSMANSHIP -CAMARADERIE TEAMWORK – EXERCISE – FUN
The 2020 Spring Youth Rugby season is right around the corner. SFYR will be hosting our last free skills clinic on Mar 7th. The clinics will be at Wood Gormley Park ( 141 E Booth St.) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Girls and Boys ages 8-18 are all welcome, no experience needed. Tag Rugby Day
Santa Fe Youth Rugby is hosting a day of rugby on Saturday, November 30th, 2019 starting at 11 AM at Wood Gormley Elementary school.
Spring 2019 Season is here!
Santa Fe Area High School rugby is back!
We’re playing touch rugby on Saturdays from 11 AM to 12 PM at Ashbaugh Park on Cerrillos.
Starting the week of February 18th, We will be hosting practices for all high school students (boys and girls) interested in playing rugby in the Spring of 2019. We are negotiating exact days as we establish a field.
The first opportunity to play in a game will be March 9th in Albuquerque.
Rugby is a fun, full contact sport beloved by millions.

2018 Season
Santa Fe Youth Rugby tag/non-contact season is almost here!
SFYR will be continuing to host free Family Tag Rugby sessions for kids and adults (7+ boys and girls) to participate and learn. The Family Tag Rugby sessions will be held on Tuesdays, April 10th through May 1st. Sessions will start at 5:30pm (or whenever you can arrive) at Wood Gormley Elementary School practice field (141 East Booth St.). Come join us for any or all sessions.
If we start to get enough participation we will organize a youth tag league. Spread the word and bring all your friends out to enjoy the great spring weather!

New 2016 Season
Santa Fe Youth Rugby flag/non-contact season is almost here. You can sign up right here: SFYR registration 2016
SFYR will be holding a free “Try It” clinic on Sunday March 20th from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Clinic will be held at Wood Gormley Elementary School at 141 East Booth St.
Practices will start on March 23rd and will be held at Wood Gormley Elementary School from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. Official practice days will be determined on participation numbers.
We expect to hold our first match April 9th and play every Saturday through May 14th. All matches will be held on Saturday mornings at the MRC Rugby Complex, times to be announced at a later date.

SFYR Registration at GCCC
Santa Fe Youth Rugby will be having registration at the Genoveva Chavez Community Center on Saturday, March 15, from 9-11.
Important Dates
On March 25 the youth leagues meet with the city at Frenchy’s Barn.
On March 29th we will be meeting at the MRC for YOUTH CLEAN UP DAY!
